It is with a heavy heart to hear of John’s passing. We worked together in the Hawaii Air National Guard. John had a great sense of humor and was always there to help anyone. He always made me laugh. He was a treasure. Aloha no John; until we meet again.

Was saddened to read this.
I remember when John was the "new kid" in 4th grade. He was well-liked and popular right from the start.
RIP, John.
My condolences to the family.

I never knew the man, but the boy I do remember, and won't ever forget, the smile remained the same. Sincere condolences to John's family and friends, your loss is felt through the smile and memories that John left us. God bless and may he rest in eternal peace.

John, was such a kind and thoughtful person! Always thinking of others, doing good deeds. You left all your friends who loved you too soon! You will remain in our hearts forever, and fly on the wings of Mokulele, with the Angels forever...look to the rainbows and there's John (Brother)

I met John around 1987 -88 in Honolulu while he worked at First Hawaiian Bank with my cousin JK. She lived in a condo right across the street from John when he lived at the Craigside Condo. He would be at my cousins condo often & would even pitch in to babysit the 2 kids who are in their 30's now. They all would be found in the pool with Uncle John John every time he watched them. They all still love him dearly & I do too from the day I met him. He was one fun guy to be with! I miss him tremendously & I'm sure your feelings are mutual. I am very sorry for your loss. God bless each of you. John's friend, Terry
