Obituary of Ethel Foytack Knight

Ethel "Neddy" Foytack Knight, 92, of South Scranton, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 1 at the Dunmore Health Care. 

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Alice Henning Foytack. Ethel was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Scranton until its closing.  Throughout her life, she worked as a waitress at the Charl-Mont Restaurant and numerous other establishments in the Scranton area, most recently at Tiffany's Restaurant, Dunmore.

Surviving are two granddaughters, Michele Sheridan and Jacqueline Balinas both of Scranton, two great granddaughters Gianna Marie and Carlie; a sister, Alice Hanson; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander John Knight, a daughter Evelyn Balinas, a brother, Robert Foytack, and five sisters, Mary Foytack, Helen Murphy, Jane Iacovazzi, Clare Philbin and Rita Bednarek.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 11 at Cathedral Cemetery Chapel, with a blessing by the Rev. Francis L. Pauselli. Burial Cathedral Cemetery.
