Obituary of Lucille Faulent Lezinsky

Lucille Faulent Lezinsky, 88, of Old Forge, entered into eternal rest Monday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.  Her beloved husband, Nicholas passed away May 28, 2006.

Born in Duryea, she was the daughter of the late John and Lucy Fafinski Faulent. In 1948, she graduated from Duryea High School.  Throughout her life, Lucille worked in the garment industry. Lucille was a faithful Catholic and a lifelong member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Duryea, Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.

A woman of many enjoyments, Lucille especially enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, working in her garden, playing bingo and shopping. Above all, her favorite enjoyment was being surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving are two sons, Nicholas and wife Judith (Havrilko) Lezinsky, Bethlehem; Dr. David Lezinsky, Moosic; two daughters, Dorothy Strzelczyk, Reeders and Marie Polyniak and husband, Mark, Durham, N.C.; seven grandchildren, eightgreat grandchildren, a brother-in-law, John Uhrin, Scranton.; nieces and nephews.

Two sisters, Elizabeth Warunek and Gertrude Uhrin and four brothers, Joseph, Anthony, Edward and her twin, Louis Faulent preceded her in death.

Family and friends are invited to attend Lucille’s funeral which will begin on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St. Taylor, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 127 Stephenson St. Duryea by the Rev. John V. Polednak, V.E.  Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Orthodox Cemetery, Old Forge.  Friends may call Friday 4 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 to 9: 45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity,
