Obituary of Henrietta J. Wahl
Henrietta “Terri’ Helcoski Wahl, 89, of North Scranton, entered eternal life on Friday, Dec. 21 at her home.
Born in the Minooka section of Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Veronica Wierglieka Helcoski. Terri graduated from Minooka High School. For several years, she worked for Pennsylvania Gas Company and then retired from Northeast Eye, working for Dr. Jordan. Terri volunteered numerous hours at the Clarks Green United Methodist Church’s yearly rummage sales. She enjoyed gardening and antique hunting. Her family was the center of her life and they often called her the ‘Social Butterfly.”
Surviving are a son, Joseph F. Wahl Jr. and wife, Lisa, Scott Twp.; a son-in-law, John Martin; four grandchildren, Ryan Martin and wife, Julianna; Ross Martin and wife, Jessica; Joseph and Jordan Wahl; two great-grandchildren, Callan and Hudson Martin; a brother, Carl Helcoski, Scranton; nieces and nephews.
A daughter Patricia A. Martin; an infant granddaughter, Gabriel; a brother, Theodore Helcoski; and two sisters, Frances Rejent and Jean Lucas preceded her in death.
A private graveside service with a blessing by the Rev. Francis L. Pauselli will take place at the convenience of the family in St. Mary’s Czestochowa Cemetery, Moosic.
