Obituary of Frank Berger
Frank Berger affectionately known as “Frankie’, of Covington Township, died Wednesday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.
Born and raised in Old Forge, he was the son of the late Francis J. and Helen Cott Berger. Frankie was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Sienna Church, Moscow. He enjoyed playing bingo, scratch off lottery tickets and was an avid Penn State fan. He loved meeting people and people just adored him.
The Berger Family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Abington Manor, where Frankie was resident for the past two years. Their love and care for him will never be forgotten.
Surviving is a sister, Norma Hartke and husband, Jack, Bethesda, MD; a nephew, John Hartke and wife, Liz; a niece, Victoria Hartkey and husband, Jim Crotty; a great niece, Ainsley Hartkey Crotty; an uncle, Chester Cott and numerous cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend Frankie’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be on Monday at 2 p.m. at St. Catherine of Sienna Church 220 Church ST. Moscow by the Rev. Robert J. Simon, pastor. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Old Forge. Friends may call Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
