Obituary of Anthony S. Duboski

Anthony S. Duboski “Tony” passed away peacefully at Mountain View Nursing Home on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018. He is married to the former Virginia Sabatini.

Born on July 8, 1937, in Winding Gulf, W.Va., he was the son of the late Tony and Nellie Baranski Duboski. Tony moved to Pennsylvania at the age of 6 and attended Scranton Schools, graduating from Technical High School. Upon graduation, he served four years in the United States Army. Tony started his career in the apparel industry with Leslie Fay, Wilkes-Barre. He went on to open his own factories, Stephanie Fashions, Archbald, Pa., and T&T Fashion in Dunmore. He built a reputation as one of the premier apparels manufacturers in Northeast Pennsylvania. Outside the apparel business, Tony owned and operated Kleen & Gentle Carwash and Lube center, Taylor, and, with his son, owned and operated Northeast Autovend in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Tony was a big sports fan. He loved the New York Yankees, New York Giants and Penn State football.  He loved skiing with his family and golfing with his friends. His other big passion was cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed watching his son motocross race all over the country. Tony was the trainer, coach and pit crew and loved every minute of it. Tony was an amazing husband, father and friend. He was a loving grandfather and supported his grandchildren with all their activities and sports. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Toinette Duboski, New York, N.Y.;

Tony Duboski and wife, Lori; and Stephanie Kuchinski, all of Clarks Summit; his four grandchildren, Vanessa and Anthony Duboski and Lauren and Vincent Kuchinski.

Family and friends are invited to attend Tony’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Church of St. Benedicts, 1849 Newton Ransom Boulevard, Clarks Summit, to be celebrated by Monsignor Joseph G. Quinn, pastor.  Military honors will be accored at the conclusion of the mass.

Friends may call at the church an hour before the Mass.

Tony’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff in the Magical Court at Mountain View Care Center. They extended the best care and were very loving and supportive to Tony and his family. Also, a very special thank you to the entire staff at Elan Gardens Memory Lane unit. Their love and support will long be remembered.
