Obituary of Irene Amelia Zuchlewski
Irene A. Zuchlewski, 85, of West Scranton, died Friday evening at the Riverside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Taylor.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Walter G. and Amelia I. Wasielewski Zuchlewski, Irene was a graduate of West Scranton High School class of 1950. Before her retirement, she worked for Fowler-Williams, enjoying her work as a supervisor in the IBM room. She was a parishioner of St. Ann’s Basilica and a devoted participant of yearly novena to St. Ann.
Surviving are a sister, Alice Kovalski and husband, Michael; a nephew, Michael Kovalski and wife, Nicole; a niece, Karen Kovalski, all of Moosic; a nephew, Edward Kovalski and wife, Amy, Alburtis; a great-nephew and two great-nieces.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Valerie Kovalski and an infant sister, Joan.
Irene’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Allied Terrace and the staff of the Riverside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Semian Funeral, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Ann’s Basilica, 1251 St. Ann’s St. Scranton. Interment will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Taylor.
