Obituary of Willard J. Lewis

Willard J. Lewis, 84, of the Greenwood section of Moosic, died Thursday evening at the Mid Valley Health Care Center.  His beloved wife of 58 years the former Barbara I Pidich, died March 9, 2014.

 

Born on February 11, 1934, in Scranton, he was the son of the late Anna Rezeski Lewis Brosky. In 1953, Willard graduated from Scranton Technical High School.  For over 50 years, he worked as pressman for the Scranton Times.  He was a parishioner of St. Paul of the Cross Parish, Scranton.  During the winter months, Willard and his late wife enjoyed traveling, especially to their home in Florida.

 

Willards family is ever grateful to the staff of Mid Valley Health Care and Compassionate Care Hospice, for the loving, daily care that they provided to our dad throughout his illness.

 

Surviving are a son, Jeffrey and wife, Lori, Uniondale; a sister, Beverly Brosky Chiauttini and husband, Jerry, Alexandra, VA; a brother, Geoffrey Brosky and wife, Susan, Kentucky.

 

Family and friends are invited to attend Willards funeral which will be on Friday, October 5th, at 9:30 am from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St. Taylor followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Divine Mercy Parish, to be celebrated by the Rev. Francis L. Pauselli.  Interment will follow in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow.  Friends may call Thursday, October 4th, from  5:00 to 7:00 pm.
