Obituary of Margaret Mashurak

Margaret Mashurak, 93, of Dunmore, passed into eternal rest Saturday morning to join her late husband, Michael Mashurak who passed away on December 21, 2017. The couple would have celebrated their 68^th wedding anniversary on January 15.

Born on February 28, 1925 in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Dolinish Enkulenko. She attended Dunmore High School and worked at a jewelry counter where she met the love of her life, Michael. Marge was avid in helping her husband run their family business, Mashurak Fence Company, Dunmore, for 55 years. She enjoyed cooking and was known for always having a table filled with delicious baked goods. Marge’s greatest joy was her family and the laughs they shared.

The Mashurak family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the outstanding love, care and attention they gave to Marge to the following: Dr. Mark Lyons and staff, Eugene McKitish, Advanced Home Health, the aids and nurses from Loving Angels.

Also surviving are: a daughter, Marsha Kolis and husband Paul, Taylor; a granddaughter, Megan Kolis, Taylor, who was the light of her life; a sister-in-law, Marie Mashurak, Taylor; a godson, Ronald Horvath and wife Lois, Connecticut, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Mashurak Sr. in 2017, her beloved son, Michael Mashurak Jr., in 2005, and two brothers, George and William, and four sisters, Anne Gruzesky, Mary Paraska, Julia Calocino and Katherine Horvath.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Margaret’s funeral Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, with a Divine Liturgy in St. George’s Orthodox Church, 743 S. Keyser Ave., Taylor, at 10:30 by Marge’s pastor, the Very Rev. Mark Leasure. Interment will be in Dunmore Cemetery. Family and friends may call Tuesday, 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with Panachida services beginning at 3:45p.m.
