Ann Marie Goul, 70, of Moosic, died Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, from complications after a recent kidney transplant. She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, David Goul.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Slavinsky Cushner. A graduate of Central High School, Ann worked for Verizon, formerly Bell Atlantic, until retirement. While there, she served as president of the Scranton Area Council of Telephone Pioneers of America and later as the president of the Leonard H. Kinnard Chapter. Later, she worked for the Boy Scouts of America. She enjoyed nothing more than reading and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Also surviving are a son, Jared and wife, Carolyn, Lakeland, Tenn.; sister, Mary Lewis and husband, Arthur, Moosic; grandchildren, Madeleine, Morgan and Evan Goul; niece, Melinda Lewis, Laguna Niguel, Calif.; nephew, Shad Lewis and wife, Lisa, Adamstown, Pa.; and two great-nieces, Allison and Juliette Lewis.
A blessing service will be held on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, by the Rev. William Chromey.
