Obituary of Frances K. Walsh

Frances K. Sheerer Walsh,78, of the Greenwood section of Moosic, died Saturday at home.  Her beloved husband, who was her soul mate for 55 years, Conrad F. died July 26, 2016.

 

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Frances Pitts Sheerer.  In 1957, Fran graduated from Dunmore High School.  Fran was a licensed beautician but the focal point in her life was her family.  She was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish. Over the years, she and her late husband traveled extensively all over the world.  She enjoyed playing bingo and was a member of the young mother’s club.

Also surviving are a son, Conrad K, of Moosic; a son-in law, Moosic Mayor, James M. Segilia; five grandchildren, Jessica Fazzi and husband, Mike Sr.; Danielle and Jimmy Segilia and Conrad Tyler and Caralynn Walsh; two great grandchildren, Addison Grace and Michael Vincent Fazzi; two sisters, Barbara Padula and Jacqueline Butler and husband, Mike, all of Dunmore; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Karolyn Walsh in 2002, and Colleen Marie Segilia in 2017.

Family and friends are invited to attend Fran’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Wednesday at 10 am in Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis St. Scranton to be celebrated by the Rev. Francis Pauselli, pastor. Interment, St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow.  Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9am until 10 am.
