Obituary of Anna Strok

Anna Strok, 90, of Old Forge, died Sunday morning at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.

Born in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Alexis and Anastasia Zebrun Strok.  In 1945, Anna graduated from Old Forge High School. Throughout her life she worked in the garment industry.  She was a parishioner of St. Stephen’s Russian Orthodox Church, Old Forge. Anna was a woman of great faith and her faith sustained her the last few years. She enjoyed the casino and going to area church functions.

Surviving is a niece, Lillian Brown and husband Art, Old Forge, a sister in law Dorothy Strok; a nephew Joseph Strok & wife Sherry all of Moosic. Her dear friends and caregivers Bill and Cathy Lehmkuhl, Old Forge; great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Vera Kearney brothers; Joseph, Michael, Walter, Anthony, Alexander, James, and Dimitri.

Family and friends are invited to attend Anna’s funeral which will begin on Friday, May 18 at 10am in St. Stephen’s Russian Orthodox Church, 641 Hickory St. Old Forge by the Rev. German Ciuba.  Interment, St. Michael’s Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Old Forge. Friends may call Friday at the church from 9:00am until the time of service.
