Obituary of Frank P. Nykaza

Frank J. Nykaza, of Old Forge, died Friday January 26 at Community Hospice, St. Augustine, FL.  His beloved wife, Anna Mae Oselinsky Nykaza, died January 21, 2015 and together they celebrated 61 years of marriage.

 

Born in Old Forge on October 18, 1935, he was the son of the late Frank and Julia Soha Nykaza. Frank graduated from Old Forge High School in 1953.  He was an electrical foreman working for Graham Electric and retiring from Pennsylvania Gas and Water.  Frank was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church, Old Forge until its’ closing. Throughout the years, he was a sports enthusiast cheering for Penn State, the Boston Red Sox’s and the Indianapolis Colts.

 

Surviving are a daughter, Diane Dougherty, St. Augustine, FL; a niece, Karen Gutowski, who was like his daughter and caretaker, numerous other nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Elaine Ezbiansky and husband, John;

 

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brad Lapresti and a sister Cecile Antonio

 

The funeral will private. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Old Forge.
