Obituary of Robert G. Evans

Robert G. “Bob” Evans, of Dunmore, died Monday at Allied Skilled Nursing.  He is survived by his devoted wife, Beverly D. Lutz and together they have celebrated 54 years of marriage.

Born in Roaring Brook Township, he was the son of the late Morgan General and Elsie Tooley Evans.  Throughout his life, Bob was a proud truck driver, retiring from Bolus Motor Freight.  He was a member of Teamsters Local, 707, Albany, NY.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Faith Evans-Hartman and husband, Scot; a granddaughter Nichol Tesch and spouse, Julie Tesch; three great grandchildren, Logan, Cameron and Grayson.

A brother, Roger preceded him in death.

The funeral will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, with services by the Rev. Fred Snyder, Lake Ariel United Methodist Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Dunmore Cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday 5 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Allied Hospice or to the Alzheimer’s unit at Allied Skilled Nursing, 3 Abington Executive Park, Clarks Summit, PA 18411
