Obituary of John M. Chupron
John M. Chupron, 73, of Taylor, died Thursday morning at the Gardens Care Center in Scranton after an illness.
Born in Taylor, he was the oldest son of the late John and Mary Polansky Chupron. John was a 1962 graduate of Taylor Moosic High School and attended Penn State. He proudly served our county with the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Before his retirement, John was employed by Tobyhanna Army Depot for many years. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. George’s Orthodox Church, Taylor. John’s passion in life was collecting Classic cars, of which he had a great in depth knowledge. His cars, were notably published in several Classic Car trade journals, including Automobile Quarterly Magazine.
Surviving are two brothers, Carl Chupron, Taylor and Ronald Chupron, Lake Wallenpaupack; nieces, nephews, cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Badner.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St. Taylor followed by a blessing service at 10:30 am by John's Pastor, Very Rev. Mark Leasure, St. George's Orthodox Church. Interment will follow in St. George's Orthodox Cemetery, Taylor.
