Obituary of Sue Tedesco

Sue Micknick Tedesco, 97, formally of Avoca passed away Wednesday evening, December 27, at the Jewish Home of NEPA. Her husband, Anthony passed away in 1978

Born in the patch section of Taylor, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Dymetrik Micknick.  Prior to her retirement, Sue worked for the former A&P Stores, as a meat packer.  She was a parishioner of Prince of Peace Parish.  Affectionately known as “Aunt Sue” to many who knew her, she was truly a compassionate and gentle woman. She selflessly cared for her family in their times of need and always put others before herself.

Surviving are her devoted nieces, Maureen Diaz, Colleen Reardon, Marlene Price, Beverly Kirby, Patricia Reardon; and additional nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Michael, Joseph and Stephen and three sisters, Mary Kavulich, Anna McCrea and Rita Reardon.

Sue’s nieces would like to thank the staff of the Jewish Home, for their impeccable care given to Sue over the past few years.

Family and friends are invited to attend Sue’s funeral which will be held on Saturday beginning at 10 :30 am from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St. Taylor, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, at Prince of Peace Parish, 123 W. Grace St., Old Forge to be celebrated by the Rev. August A. Ricciardi, pastor. Interment services will follow in Old Forge Cemetery.  Friends may call Saturday 9:30 until 10:30 at the funeral home.
