Obituary of Veronica DePaolo
The most amazing, loving, caring, and giving woman passed away on December 23rd. Veronica DePaolo passed away and will be sorrowfully missed by her husband Paul of 61 years, her children, Christine and Paul; grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, Alex, Davina, Dom, Dana, Deanna, Kim, April, and Jennifer; great grandchildren, sister Regina with brother in law Bob, family and friends. She had a heart that was bigger than no other and cherished every minute spent with those she loved.
Even though our pain we feel is beyond words now that she is gone, she was able to spend Christmas with our loved ones we have lost that are now in heaven especially her beloved son, Dominic who passed away in 2005. The day her son passed away was when her heart became broken and that loss was never able to be repaired until now, when she was able to hug him in heaven.
Veronica loved Christmas time when everyone was able to come together. She baked and cooked every holiday dinner with so much love that you felt it in your soul. Christmas has not been the same for a while since a few years back she was diagnosed with dementia which took her mind away from us way too soon. The thing she loved most was being able to be with her husband Paul. Their love for each other was like no other and never wavered no matter what obstacles they faced. Her children were her pride and joy and she put all things aside to do whatever she could for them. Her grandchildren made her heart smile and loved having them over, so she could make her special pancakes in the shape of their names. Our hearts physically hurt with sadness of knowing she is not with us now, but we are with joy to know that she is now in peace.
Private services were held at the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor by the Rev. Francis L. Pauselli. Interment was in Cathedral Cemetery.

A Mother's love is something
that no one can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendored miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.
