Obituary of Madeline Metro

Madeline Metro, 88, of Taylor, died Friday, December 1 at Geisinger Mountain View Care Center.

Born in Taylor, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Pehanich Metro.  Madeline was a graduate of Taylor High School. For numerous years, she worked for International Correspondence School and retired from Schott Optical, Duryea.  She was a parishioner of St. Ann’s Basilica, Scranton.

Surviving are nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Too the staff of Geisinger Mountain View Care Center, Magical Court, thank you for your care and compassion given to Madeline, especially during her final days.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Lisowski, Dorothy Guariglia and Clare Kashuba and four brothers, Joseph, John, Robert and Edward.

Family and friends are invited to attend Madeline’s Funeral which will be held on Tuesday at 10 am in St. Ann’s Basilica, 1251 St. Ann’s Street.  Entombment, Cathedral Mausoleum.  There will be no public calling hours.
