Obituary of Floriana Marie Yarosh

Floriana M. “Florence” Yarosh, 93, of the Greenwood section of Moosic, died Sunday October 29, at Scranton Health Care.  Her beloved husband of 57 years, Walter C., died in 2009.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Antoinette Kaminski Filipkowski.  Floriana was a graduate of Moosic High School. Throughout her life, she worked in the manufacturing.  She was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish and a devoted parishioner of St. Mary Czestochowa Church, Moosic, prior to its consolidation.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Celestine Filipkowski, New Hope and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Julia Woychik, Ceil Filipkowski and Helen Lindau and five brothers, John, Bart, Steve, Stanley and Edward.

Family and friends are invited to attend Florence’s funeral, which will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am in Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis St., Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Francis L. Pauselli, pastor.  Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday 10 until 10:30 am at the church.
