Obituary of Beverly A. D'Amario

Beverly A. D’ Amario, formerly of Taylor and Scranton, died Saturday, October 21 at Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing Facility, Muncy.  Her beloved husband Thomas R., died June 21, 1996.

Born in Taylor, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Evelyn Hardy Hughes.  In 1962, she graduated from Avoca High School.  Beverly worked for Mr. Z’s and Weiss Market, Duryea until her retirement.  She will be remembered for her witty humor.  The past few years, have been difficult and her strong devotion to God as well as her beautiful colored pencil compositions brought her a feeling of comfort and happiness.

Surviving is her companion of 20 years, Marvin Ostower, Scranton; a son, Richard Consenza, Pittston; three daughters, Marijo Consenza-Zehner, Taylor; Lisa Consenza-Kraser, Springbrook Twp., and fiancé, Joseph Bennie and Patricia Robbins, Old Forge; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Mancini, Lincoln Park, N.J. and Betty Janes Craig, Avoca.

Family and friends are invited to attend Beverly’s funeral which will be held on Friday at 10 am in the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor with services by the Rev. Stew Mitchell, officiating.  Interment will follow in Fern Knoll Cemetery, Dallas.  Friends may call Thursday 5-8 PM.
