Obituary of Mary Karabin Rohaly

Mary Karabin Rohaly, 91 formerly of Scranton, died Wednesday October 11, 2017 at her daughter's home in Newark, Delaware. Her beloved husband George died July 28, 1994 and together they celebrated 49 years of marriage.

Born in Taylor, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Zahorchak Karabin. Prior to her retirement, Mary worked as a seamstress. She was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Scranton.

Surviving is a daughter, Carol Fenn, of Newark, Delaware with whom she resided; two sons, George Jr. and wife, Rhonda, of Willard, Ohio and Tom and wife, Lisa, of Brodheadsville, PA; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, John, Paul, Nicholas, George, Michael and Andrew and a sister, Anna Dubyak.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mary's funeral, which will be on Saturday at 11:30 am in St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Vine and Jefferson Ave., Scranton by Father Daniel Vaskalis. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. There will be no public calling hours.
