Obituary of John Lloyd Griffith

John Lloyd Griffith, Sr., 51, of Sykesville, MD died Monday, November 15, 2010, at the Carroll Hospice Dove House, Westminster, MD. He is survived by his wife Donna Kernich Griffith, Born January 14, 1959, in Scranton, PA, he was the son of Virginia Vaccarella Griffith Dionne of Deerfield Beach, FL and Frank Bohenek John had worked for Federal Express as a telecommunications specialist for many years. He was a graduate of Scranton Central High School, Class of 1976 and from Lincoln Technical Institute, Allentown, PA. John enjoyed riding his motorcycle and driving his Jeep. There was not anything John could not do, from barbecuing to fixing things around the house. He most especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and attending his children's sporting events and dance recitals. He is also survived by a son, John Lloyd Griffith, Jr. of Sykesville, MD a daughter, Nicole Marie Griffith of Sykesville, MD and brother, James Lloyd Griffith and wife, Dawne of Moscow, PA. John was preceded in death by his step-father, the late James Lloyd Griffith, Sr. His funeral will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St. Taylor followed by a Service at 2:00 p.m. at Hickory Street Presbyterian Church, 427 Hickory St. Scranton by Rev. Tom H. Collins, Pastor. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Taylor, PA.
