Obituary of Ann Grublauskas Renaldi

Ann Grublauskas Renaldi, of Archbald, formally of the Green Ridge Section, Scranton, died Monday in Mercy Hospice. Her husband Patrick J. died April 4, 2009. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Bridget Gataveckas Grublauskas and was a 1942 graduate of the former Scranton Technical High School. Ann received her nurse�s aid certification from Vo-Tech and for many years, devoted endless time and energy to taking care of the faithful at Marion Convent from which she retired. She was an avid reader; enjoyed bingo and concentrating on puzzle books. Her love for her family through the years will be always remembered and cherished. The family would like to express their heart-felt gratitude to Dr. Ferdinand L. Manahan the staff and residents of the Green Ridge Health Care Center, especially her roommate Mildred and Lucille DeAngelis, for their love, compassion and care they extended to Ann over the past few weeks. Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Beckham and husband, Peter, Windsor, CA; Claire Farry and husband, James and their children, Jennifer, Melissa, Colleen and Amanda, Scranton; Donna Pivovarnik and husband, Joseph and their children, Matthew, Michelle, Nicholas and Emily, Archbald; two great grandsons, Ryan and Nathan. Friends may call Friday 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St. Taylor. A Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be private.
