Obituary of Peter R. Palmarozza

Peter R. Palmarozza Sr., 66, of Taylor, died Monday in Garden City, Kansas, and while on a hunting trip. He is survived by his wife Rosanne Nehme. Born in Taylor, he was the son of the late Peter and Mary Buckman Palmarozza and was a graduate of Old Forge High School Class of 1961. Peter faithfully served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War, was stationed with the 101st Airborne Division as a paratrooper and attained the rank of Sergeant. He worked for the US Postal Service as a mail handler and served as president of the mail handlers union local 308. Peter loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Each week he looked forward to clay bird shooting with his many dear friends. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and was of the catholic faith. Also surviving are six children; Peter R. Palmarozza and wife, Laura, Taylor;Antoinette Palmarozza, Juno Beach, FL; Joshua Snodgrass, Syracuse, NY; Sam, Sara and Kalli Snodgrass all of Taylor. The funeral will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis St., by the Reverend Francis Pauselli, pastor.
