Obituary of Mary E. Oldham

Mary E. Oldham, of Old Forge, died Sunday at VNA inpatient unit at Community Medical Center. She previously resided in Marble Falls, Texas, and for the past eight years had been a resident of Old Forge. Her husband, Rufus Oldham, died on December 19, 1987. Born in San Saba, Texas on January 25, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Albert Leon and Gladys Perry Taylor. Mary worked in the accounting department of the Federal Government prior to retirement. She took pleasure in painting, quilting and gardening. Throughout her life, Mary had a great devotion to God and her faith helped her through many trials and tribulations. Her family was the center of her life and she will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in their hearts. The family would like to thank the VNA Hospice and Dr. Mark Lyons for their kindness and special care. Surviving is a daughter, Debra Zabielski and husband Joseph, Old Forge; five grandchildren, Steven Craig Holloway and wife, Ann Marie, Garner, North Carolina; Laura Cuellar and husband, Anthony, Petaluma, California; Colin Holloway and wife, Rankin, Palm City, Florida; Karina Mariotti and husband, Robert, Old Forge; Joseph Zabielski, III and wife, Anastasia, Archbald and ten great grandchildren. A daughter, Linda Holloway, a grandson Michael Zabielski and a sister, Marjorie Shahan, preceded her in death. A Blessing service will be held on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor by the Rev. Philip Altivilla. Interment Marble Falls Cemetery, Marble Falls, Texas.
