Obituary of Thomas E. Hannon

Thomas E. Hannon, 61, of Lake Ariel, died Thursday at Community Medical Center. His wife of thirty-two years the former Cheryl Nester survives him. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Thomas E. and Mary Lamareaux Hannon and was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School. For many years, Tom worked for Roadway-Express, Tannersville. Throughout his life, he enjoyed traveling and because of this, he was a cornea eye donor, so someone else could see the world as he did. Tom played guitar and watched NASCAR. One of the high lights of his week was having Sunday dinner with his family. Also surviving is a sister Marianne Santarelli and husband, Jerry, Scranton; Nieces and Nephews. A sister Suzan Kenyon preceded him in death. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor followed by Mass of Christian burial at 12 noon in St. Patrick's Church, 1403 Jackson St., West Scranton. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, Oram Street, West Scranton. Friends may call Monday 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 712 S.
