Obituary of Isabelle Kresko

Isabelle Kresko, 88, of Old forge, went to be with her Lord On Wednesday at Moses Taylor Hospital. Her fist husband Robert John Collins, died November 13, 1958 and her second husband Peter Kresko died January 27, 2004. Born on June 18, 1922, in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Munchak Pechinak. For many years, she worked for Table Talk, in Ct. Isabelle was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Old Forge. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Macaroni and potato salads were one of her best and most requested recipes. She enjoyed cooking, puzzle books, bingo, and trips to Atlantic City, Mohegan Sun and Las Vegas. Family visits to Connecticut, Florida and New Jersey brought her much joy, as did when her granddaughters, Adina and Elina manicured her nails. The family would like to express their heart-felt gratitude to Drs. Henry Yeager, Charles Deck, the staff at Moses Taylor Hospital and Moses Taylor Home Health for their care, concern and compassion they extended to Isabella throughout the years. Surviving are six daughters, Helen Marchese and husband, Joseph; Barbara Digwood and the late Harold; Sharon DelGaudio McNulty and husband, Kevin all of Old Forge; Marge Swanek and husband, Dale, Exeter; Liz Collins Varela and husband, Jose, Carbondale; Roberta Teixeira and husband, Dennis, Milford, Ct; two sons, Robert Collins and companion, Lucille Brown, Piscataway, NJ; Daivd Tarryn Grae and companion, Dorgis Ferrer, Hollywood, FL; a son-in-law Daniel Kardos, Derby, CT;a daughter-in-law Vivian Bonewicz, Old Forge; twenty three grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, including Myca Nathaniel McClure, who was the last; and several great great grandchildren; a sister, Helen Saronich, Shelton, CT; Many Nieces and Nephews. A son, Edmund Bonewicz; three daughters, Loretta Meikowski, Isabelle Slocum and Patricia Kardos; a great granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth; a brother Leonard Pechinak; and two sisters, Margaret Collins and Evelyn Kresko preceded her in death. The funeral will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 141 Harrison St., Old Forge by the Rev. Susan Zimmerman, pastor. Interment will follow in Marcy Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor.
