Obituary of Eleanor Nowakowski

Eleanor Nowakowski, of Taylor, died Friday evening at Moses Taylor Hospital. Her husband Joseph J. died August 21, 1994. Born in Taylor, she was the daughter of the late John and Katherine Klocek Unalt. Prior to her retirement, Eleanor worked for Jacobson Hats. She was a former member of St. Michael's Church, Old Forge and a parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish. Her family, especially her great grandchildren was the center of her life. Surviving are four children, Eleanor Tomeo and husband, Pat ; Jenny Nowakowski all of Taylor; Joseph F., Exeter and Edmond J. and wife, Cathy, Voorhees, NJ; five grandchildren, Patrick Tomeo and wife Janice, Laflin; Mary Kruh, Nicole, David and JJ Nowakowski; five great grandchildren; a sister Jeanette Swartz, Freeland; Nieces, Nephews. Several brothers and sisters preceded her in death. The funeral will be Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St. Taylor followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m.at Divine Mercy, by the Rev. Francis Pauselli, pastor.
