Obituary of Margaret Gursky

Margaret 'Peggy" Gursky, of Old Forge died Wednesday morning surrounded by her family at Hospice Community Care, Dunmore. She is survived by her husband John "Jack' Gursky and they would have celebrated their 42 wedding anniversary May 4. Born and educated in Moosic, she was daughter of the late Jess and Ruth Davis Larnerd. Throughout her life, Peggy centered everything around her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many, who will be dearly missed. Peggy enjoyed playing bingo and going to Atlantic City. The past several years Peggy had to endure many obstacles, but her family was always at her side. Also surviving are four daughters, Sherry Neary, Old Forge; Denise Perry and husband, Paul, Taylor; Jacqueline Gursky Deininger and husband Ernest, Taylor; Dena Gursky Ambrose and husband Anthony, Old Forge; six grandchildren, Siobahn Parker and husband, Kameron, Angus Neary, Darlene Gursky, Ernie and Morgan Deininger and Cadence Ambrose; three great grandchildren, Kenadie, Kam'ren and Kamera; two sisters, Judy Maisel and husband Jerrold and Diane Materazzi and husband, John all of Old Forge;a brother, Glen Larnerd and wife, Cheryl, Moosic; her-in-laws, Henry & Agnes Gursky, Scranton; a brother-in-law, Daniel and Joan Gursky, Ephrata; a sister-in-law, Geanine Giglio and husband Ted, Old Forge; two brother-in-laws, Carl Remaley and Larry Lockett, both of Moosic; Aunts, Uncles, cousins, Nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Joseph Larnerd and four sisters, Joan Somple, Terry Lockett, Jean Remaley and Nancy Ostrowski The funeral will be Friday at 8 pm in the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor with services by the Rev.Barbara Roberts, Moosic United Methodist Church. Friends may call Friday 5-8 pm.
