Obituary of Alice M. Cover

Alice M Cover, 93 of Avoca, died Tuesday morning at the VNA inpatient unit at Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. Her husband William Cover Jr died in 1992. Born in Dowingtown, Pa. Alice was the daughter of the late Clarence and Clara Yost Weir. Most of her life Alice lived in Morris County NJ, moving to Avoca 20 years ago. All of her life was dedicated to and centered around the care and happiness of her husband and children. She was a member of Lancliffe Presbyterian Church Avoca. Alice lived a long and full life, enjoying most of all writing to friends and relatives her never ending crocheting projects, and spending time with her best friend and companion daughter-in-law Faye. Surviving are three sons, Charles, with whom she resided; William III and wife, Faye, Avoca; Robert and wife Carolyn, Gibsonton, Fl; a daughter Peggy Leroux and husband, Ronald, Fairbanks, Alaska; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A grandson Sean T. Cover, who died 10, 28, 2006, and four sisters and a brother preceded her in death. The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor with services by the Rev. Susan Ezell, pastor, Langcliffe Presbyterian church Interment will follow in Langcliffe Cemetery, Avoca. Friend may call Thursday 4-7.
