Obituary of Helen Moletsky

Helen Moletsky, 82, of W. Scranton died Wednesday morning at the VNA inpatient unit at Community Medical Center. Her husband William died March 29, 1976. Born at the Scranton State Hospital on December 29, 1927, she was daughter of the late Michael & Mary Radvak Kurtzo and was a 1946 graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She worked for ten years, as a secretary at K&K Auto parts. In 1973, Helen started working for the former Hyde Grade Pants, Taylor and retired from Poney Pants. She was a parishioner of St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, since her marriage to her husband Willy on June 7th, 1952. The past several years, were very hard on Helen and she had to face many obstacles including cancer and all the side effects, but her family was always by her side. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Surviving are a daughter Mary Ellen Cadwalder, with whom she resided; a grandson William Hoeffner, who was by her side all through her illness, a granddaughter, Katrina Cadwalder; a great grandson Atreyu; two sisters: Sue Snyder, Westville, Mass; Olga Gretz, Scranton; a brother Steven Kurtzo, Scranton. Many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Sam, Peter, John and Alex Kurtzo and two Sisters Marie & Ann. The funeral will be Saturday at 8:45 am from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor followed by Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. in St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, 310 Broadway, to be celebrated by the Rev. Francis M. Twarzdik, SDB. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Minooka.
