Obituary of Frank Cott
Frank Cott, 94, of Daleville, died Wednesday, October 14th at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center. His wife the former Tessie Shargay, of Dickson City died 11/30/1994. Born in the Sibley section of Old Forge on October 18, 1914, he was son of the late John and Victoria Draus Cott. On December 10, 1942, Frank was inducted into the US Army to serve during WWII with company F 116th infantry. He was at the battle of Normandy, was wounded in Northern France and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. Frank was also decorated with the Good Conduct Medal, the distinguished Unit Badge, the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with two bronze battle stars and a bronze arrowhead. For many years, he was the proprietor of Cott Restaurant, Daleville. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena church, Moscow. Surviving is a brother Chester R. Cott, Chadds Ford, PA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews He was preceded in death by six sisters; Veronica Ambrose, Sophia Yagoda, Stella Kulpak, Edna Stefan, Jennie Cimokowski and Helen Berger. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Church St., Moscow, to be celebrated by the Rev.Robet J. Simon, pastor. Interment with military honors will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow. Friends may call Friday 7-9:00 p.m. at the Semian Funeral home, 704 Union St. Taylor. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church prior to Mass, Saturday morning. Memorial contributions maybe made to the Gino J.
