Obituary of Jean M. Hafler

Jean M. Fritch Hafler, 61, of Scranton, died Friday at Golden Living Center. Her husband Robert E. died May 16, 1998. Born in Scranton, on June 28, 1948, she was daughter of Edward Fritch, Ohio, and the late Jean Ann Lalus Harrison. In September of 1967, she married her late husband and this was a milestone in her life. Together, they raised their sons and Jean centered her life on being there for her sons and taking care of them. Each day brought her much joy and happiness. She liked to play bingo and was very creative in drawing. One of her drawings was published in the Scranton Times a few years ago. She will be dearly missed by her family. Also surviving are three sons, Robert, Old Forge, Thomas, Dunmore and Keith, Scranton; three grandchildren, Kathleen, Robert III and Elizabeth Jean. Nieces and Nephews. Two brothers, Richard and Thomas W. Harrison, preceded her in death. Her funeral will be privately held Tuesday in the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor with a blessing service by Rev. Rev. Francis Pauselli. Interment Abington Hills Cemetery, S. Abington Twp. Family and friends may call Monday from 5:00-7:00 p.m at the funeral home.
