Obituary of Joseph Guzior

Joseph Guzior, 95, formally of Taylor, died Friday evening at the home of his daughter, where he has lived the past fifteen years. He is survived by his wife the former Anna Ladniak; they celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary July 26. Born and educated in Old Forge, he was son of the late Valentia and Hedwig Guzior. Prior to his retirement, he worked by the former Anemastat, as a machinist. Joseph also worked for thirty-four years as a coal miner for several coal companies. He was a life long devoted and faithful parishioner of St. Michael's Church, Old Forge. Throughout his life, he spent many wonderful occasions hunting and fishing with his grandchildren, who will always cherish these times. Also surviving a daughter Mary Ann Dalkiewicz, Bloomsburg; a granddaughter Ann Marie Cantore; two grandsons, Paul and Michael Dalkiewicz; a great grandson Andrew; a brother Anthony, Chatham, NJ; four sisters Elizabeth Halat, Harrisburg; Cecile Kolback, Dunmore; Sally Novak and Josephine Giammanco, Vero Beach, FL; many nieces and nephews. Two brothers Michael and Stephen; and a sister Anastasia Trez preceded him in death. The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:15 from the Semian Funeral Home 704 Union St., Taylor followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael's Church, Vine Street, Old Forge, to be celebrated by the Rev.
