I always admired my Uncle Steve's achievements on the golf course, which is a sport that seems to run in the family. He helped introduce my Dad to the game and my Dad, in turn, taught me how to play. But I especially recognize his and Aunt Romayne's dedication to raising a beautiful family. He's leaving behind a legacy of a loving, caring family.

Frank Leavy has posted a new condolence on the tribute to Steve Olexovitch.
The condolence message is as follows:
"One of my favorite people to play golf with was my Uncle Steve. aka 'Fritzi the Fairfield Fader'. There were many great golfers in the Olexovitch clan but I always thought Uncle Steve was the best. My uncle taught me many things on the course and not just about golf. I loved the way he not only enjoyed golf but also enjoyed life. He always had a funny story or would just flash that great smile. Because we lived so far apart, I didn't see him much once I moved out of Connecticut, but I always cherished my time with him. He's with my aunt now roaming the fairways of heaven. I'm so glad he got to do the thing he loved the most right up to his last day on earth."

I’ll never forget the day uncle Steve came limping up
The walkway at the golf course acting like he had a bad leg . He was trying to make golf matches with everyone and was acting like he was hurt to make a couple of bucks . You reminded me so much of my grandfather ( his brother ) who I miss so much . Rest easy uncle Steve .
